Walking in the Steps of Your Ancestors

About fifteen years ago, Linda and I were in New Bern and decided to visit Tryon Palace. At the end of our tour, we discovered that our ticket to Tryon included tours of two colonial era houses across the street, the John Stanly House and the Gaston House. In order to get the "most bang for our bucks" we dutifully toured both homes.
I was hungry by that point, so I remember very little information from either tour.
About six years ago, I discovered that the Gaston House had belonged to my sixth great grandmother, Mary Gaston McClure's nephew, William Gaston.
